Defi Gauges / Defi Control Unit / Adapters

Defi gauges have finally arrived !

I opted for Defi-Link Meter ADVANCE CR series (Water Temp, Oil Temp and Oil Pressure, all 52mm) controlled by a Defi-Link ADVANCE Control Unit.

I also bought an oil sensor adapter (Standard Type) + a radiator hose water temp sensor adapter (32mm) both from Greedy Trust.

I think I'll have them installed on top of the middle of the dash as opposed to on the A-pillar. Argh...can't decide !

SEEKER here I come !

  1. Hi,
Just wanted to say I am really enjoying reading the blog. I lived in Niigata for two years without a car after a string of 200SX/Integra DC2 etc in the UK.. Just moved to Akita and decided I finally needed to get back in the driving seat - partly due to this blog.. Just bought a Subaru Impresa STI V5. My first Scooby and so far so good.. the handling is amazing! In the 200SX I used to go sideways more then forward LOL

Still getting used to it - literally had it a day! Getting my ETC fitted on Tuesday.
Hope to be inspired more by your blog! I may even make my own blog!
    Keep up the good work.

  3. I definately will let you know when I set up the blog. I really like the clean look of yours and the pictures all seem to be pretty crisp.. Decent camera I guess.
Only problem is I don't really have much spare cash for parts at the moment :-( and have no idea where the decent tuners for Subaru are in/around Akita?
Went to one called ISM power today but they seemed more a Nissan tuner, not many suggestions for my car :-(

  4. Norman,
Subaru is a ridicolously famous car so I have no doubt there are lots of tuners specializing in that car alone ! If I were you i'd drive to Kanto or Osaka to one of the more famous tuners and have them give you advice on what can be done for your car, then gradually keep taking your car to them until you're happy with the setup !

If you had a Honda I'd have no trouble recommending some places to you

    Cheers
    Rod
