On this coming weekend May 31st I am heading out to Fukushima prefecture (some 200kms away from Tokyo) to Ebisu Circuit.
Myself, Tom (Mazda Mx-5 Roadster) and Derek (Mitsubishi Evo X) are going to attend a couple of sessions on the East course (pictures below) which is about 2061m in length and thought to be very technical.
This will also be a great preparation for the 12 hour endurance race I was asked to participate in in late July!
DC5 is ready! I won't be installing my meter gauges until sometime later and regarding suspension setup, i am waiting to see how another fellow youtuber's setup goes and possibly then try to take the same route.

Shaken (not stirred!)
I am exctatic ! No, I really am !!
After weeks of worrying about the upcoming Shaken (a japanese government dictated car inspection) I can finally breathe a sigh of relief ! My car passed !
Thanks to Akira at Craft-A i am done with the worrying. My exhaust system from FEEL's passed an otherwise strict regulation of 96dB by recording a reading of 95.8dB plus the muffler itself was just off by millimeters from the allowed length but somehow still within the limit !
The exercise itself cost me 92,000yen which isn't too bad!
I can now continue on with modifications for the next 2 years :)

J's Racing MaxFlow air filter
Here comes yet another performance improvement part for my beloved Type R! An AIR FILTER !!
A newly released, highly acclaimed MaxFlow filter by J's Racing arrived yesterday in the mail.
I was ready to fit it in on the day but I thought why don't I just go to Autobacs and have my car dynoed, then replace the stock filter with MaxFlow and have it dynoed again !
So stay tuned for some dyno results of before/after (hopefully there is an improvement there somewhere !!)
Here it is installed !

DC5 at Fuji Speedway in the wet !
On May 5th I headed out to Fuji Speedway with a good friend visiting from LA.
The day was wet and cold which added to the excitement but also resulted in some serious damage on some of the cars participating on that day.
Some photos of my car on the main straight
Here is a short video of parts of the session.
And here is a short video showing views from inside/outside
